Romac holds ‘Link-Up’ and appears on the Achilles database as an audited supplier. Romac operatives carry PTS and select operatives carry CSCS cards.

Romac are veterans of several major rollouts on Rail including the major investments by TOC’s over the last 5 years in revenue protection systems through the rollout of ticket vending equipment and entry/exit barriers across the network.

1. Romac can carry out all the pre-delivery services on behalf of the customer:
1.1. Access booking
1.2. Site survey (to establish the optimal delivery routing)
1.3. Method statement & supporting risk assessment
1.4. Romac is also accredited to manage pedestrian re-routing, parking bay suspension, lane suspension and full road closure systems, when station access is in a verty built up area.

2. Once the survey is completed the Romac planners will establish the delivery requirement in terms of personnel, vehicle and handling equipment:
2.1. Personnel – Romac will provide an approved installation team (all holding PTS) for each delivery.
2.2. Vehicle – The entire Romac delivery fleet is specified to transport sensitive of high value equipment; using state of the art loading locking devices and air ride suspension (as standard).
2.3. Handling equipment – Romac possesses plant approval for the full range of handling equipment to effect delivery to rail locations, including a full range of track trolleys approved to various weights.

3. On the scheduled date and time the selected Romac team (as above) will deliver the equipment to site either during:
3.1. traffic hours (if a non operational location or during a possession).
3.2. Engineering hours (the standard operating window).
3.3. Once on site the Romac team will handle the equipment to point-of-use specified in the site survey.

4. Once in the station concourse, equipment room, signal box or trackside plinth Romac can complete a preliminary installation (using the layout drawings) by either:
4.1. Floor bolting-down the equipment (using anchor fixings and chem-fix)
4.2. Providing a wall-mount solution (using unistrut).

5. If there is obsolete equipment in the place of the new equipment or in the general area Romac can provide a decommissioning and recycling solution:
5.1. Collection of obsolete equipment at the install site.
5.2. Certified data removal/destruction (where required by Data Protection Act).
5.3. Environmental disposal of equipment (issuing compliant certificates of destruction).
