Romac has a robust project management approach to guide the planning and execution of projects tailored to each customer situation. We work in partnership with civil engineering contractors, or directly with manufacturers to ensure timely, efficient and cost effective final mile delivery and installation services.
We adopt a consultative partnership approach so that the project parameters are understood and the objectives shared. Typically we work as part of the overall turnkey management team. Project plans are developed and reviewed at joint planning meetings.
Our project management services include:
- Logistics site survey - Romac undertake a detailed logistics site survey to establish the optimal delivery routing and the appropriate handling equipment to use when making a delivery of equipment to point of use. A full safety review is undertaken that takes into consideration any obstacles, parking restrictions and whether this is a commercial or residential area.
- Method statement – this details how an installation project can be carried out safely and should detail any potential risks and the methods of control to be established. Romac will produce the method statement as part of our Health & Safety policy.
- Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
- Detailed project implementation and resource plans
- Reporting and monitoring
- Project review and lessons learned
- Romac are authorised traffic managers, enabling them to provide a complete service to customers.
Occasionally there is a need to close a road or footpath when attempting a complicated delivery. Romac can administrate the closure of a road or restrict traffic in other ways e.g. one-way systems, speed restrictions or the suspension of parking places with the relevant local authority.
