UK Transport Infrastructure
Romac provides specialised logistics services for major infrastructure projects undertaken by rail transport companies such as for whom we are a Link-up Proofed supplier, and Transport for London (TfL) where we have entry permits in place across the London rail networks to deliver equipment for the point of use in all locations including sub-surface locations.

We provide final mile delivery and installation of OEM equipment including:

  • Signal equipment
  • Ticket vending equipment

For the challenging rail network, our highly efficient logistics service model includes:
  • Pre delivery warehousing
  • Supplier consolidation
  • Equipment pre-delivery staging, configuration or integration
  • Kitting, such as the assembly of installer packs
  • Time specific deployment, during traffic hours or engineering hours

Our experienced team ensure the optimal handling solution for every project on road, rail or underground through constructing a detailed site survey, supported by a method statement and risk assessment, including appropriate traffic management requirements, such as full or partial road closure and pedestrian re-routing, suspension of parking places or speed restrictions, administered in conjunction with the relevant local authority. Our personnel are trained in fire, Site Person in Charge (SPC) and Personal Trackside safety (PTS) skills enabling them to access almost any area on any rail network.

Newly delivered equipment is secured to the floor, or wall mounted, thanks to our fully trained and qualified mechanical and AC electrical installers. If required, obsolete equipment decommissioned at the delivery point can be collected and recycled or environmentally disposed of.
